We all are looking for the destined one for us but what if we are already bound with a person with a red string? For a long time, humans have wondered about life’s meaning, which has given rise to various philosophical teachings and enchanting legends. And among many legends, the tale of red strings is one of them.
Have you ever thought, “This person has entered my life for a reason?” Quite possibly, you may be right. It might be the case that fate has already guided you to the point where you can bring changes into the lives you to the point where you can bring changes into the lives of others. Imagine, closing your eyes and your body grows transparent, can you picture those endless complex networks of blood vessels connecting all the parts of the body? We owe our existence to these life-giving rivers. Now, take note of these special systems, the one that connects the heart with your pinky finger. Maybe that’s the reason when people make a swear or vow, they do it by crossing their pinkies in many cultures. But, according to this legend of red string, this thread coming from our heart does not end at the tip of the finger but flows as an invisible red thread to intertwine with the red thread of other people connecting your heart with theirs. The myth is similar to the concept of a soulmate or a destined partner.
The bond of unspoken love, trust, and hope. It would be so great to know that there is someone just for you, someone who belongs to you, someone who you are destined with, and to know that there is someone to love and support you at any cost, some you should not search for, someone that destiny will bring you together with. It’s just like a fairy tale that many of us would like to live in. Wouldn’t it be easy if we knew that we were already connected with someone, someone whom we can spend our whole lifetime and someone whom we can share our sorrow and happiness with? There is a different kind of feeling, knowing that you won’t always be alone.
According to Chinese legend, the deity in charge of “the red thread” is believed to be Yue Xia Laoren. Maybe that is why in most Chinese weddings, the color red is given great value. The color red in Chinese culture symbolizes happiness and it is mostly featured in Chinese weddings.
The connection is not only limited to romance because people connected by the red string of fate may share a short interval of time or it can also be someone you are fated to have a deep connection to. It is believed that, when someone’s born, there is a red thread that is tied to them, an invisible red thread that connects them to the people they are destined to meet and be connected to in their lives.
In thinking, what if someone can see the red string, what if he/she can see who we are connected with would that person tell us? What would we be at that person’s place? What would you do? From my view, I would tell them but I am so sure that many people will not believe it and when thinking about this legend it may be real or just an imagination but when thinking I can never stop my mind, I can never put this topic inside, and when thinking I always end up with many questions with “What if?” I get questions like, what if I am connected with someone? Do I know that person? What kind of person will he be? Will that person be just like me or the opposite of me? There are many questions like this.
I strongly believe in this theory. I believe that red string is a magical cord that may stretch or tangle, but it can never break. It will always connect two people, maybe best friends or total strangers. The two people connected by the red thread are destined to be together, regardless of time, place, or any kind of circumstances.
